The show goes on: new dates for The Wizard of Oz
Follow the Yellow Brick Road, and you’ll find new dates for Horsham Arts Council’s production of The Wizard of Oz. HAC has been working closely with Horsham Rural City Council to reschedule and confirm dates for its upcoming performance, following the production's halt earlier this month.

Mayor Brian Klowss stated that council staff met with HAC representatives to determine new dates after the alleged security breach at the venue on April 1.
“Horsham Arts Council shows are an important highlight of the Horsham Town Hall calendar and a significant contributor to Horsham’s creative vitality,” he said.
“The rescheduling of the Wizard of Oz has taken priority to ensure the show can return with minimal disruption and programming at the venue can return to normal as soon as possible.”
The Horsham Town Hall was inspected and cleared by authorities on April 1 and again on April 17.
Erin Boutcher, HAC president and director, expressed gratitude to the cast, crew, production team, and local arts community for their “professionalism, resilience, and dedication” during the challenging period.
“The cast and crew of our current production, The Wizard of Oz, have continued to rehearse while waiting for confirmation of new dates,” she said.
“Once safe, the Horsham Arts Council wanted to be the first local company back in the venue.”
Ms Boutcher announced that the new dates for the highly anticipated show are Thursday, June 11, to Sunday, June 21.
New tickets will go on sale at 12pm on Tues, April 28, via the Horsham Town Hall website www.horshamtownhall.com.au or from the Horsham Town Hall Box Office at 71 Pynsent St, Horsham.
Transferring tickets and honouring existing purchases will be prioritised.
Horsham Town Hall staff will contact ticket holders with pre-purchased or reserved tickets soon to confirm equivalent day and time transfers.
“We can’t wait to bring this show to the Horsham Town Hall stage, celebrating the resilience and dedication of our local arts community,” Ms Boutcher said.
“We believe strongly in the power of the arts to unite and uplift, and this production stands as a testament to that.
“The cast, crew and production team are busy putting the final touches in place and working closely with the Horsham Town Hall to deliver a show that promises to be truly memorable.
“We can’t wait to welcome audiences back and see you there for what will be a magical and uplifting experience for all.”
