Suspended driver caught
A Warracknabeal man has been caught after a vehicle was spotted driving on the wrong side of Scott Street, Warracknabeal on June 16.
The black Holden ute had driven over the centre medium strip and conducted a burnout, before becoming airborne over a pedestrian crossing.
The vehicle was not displaying registration plates and was not registered or in a roadworthy condition.
The 21-year-old driver was on bail at the time and had a suspended Victorian drivers licence.
He was served a notice to surrender the motor vehicle to police on July 1, which he failed to do.
As a consequence, the vehicle has now been impounded for 30 days and the driver will have to pay $1789 before it is returned.
The driver will also be summons to the Magistrates Court at a later date.
