Nhill's Andrea Gurry and Beulah's Garry George both led in winners last week; Gurry with Paw Linden at Horsham and George with Air Speed at Bendigo.

Paw Linden was impressive defeating a good lineup at Horsham on Tuesday, missing the start, Linden was buried back in the field, then produced a railing masterclass through the turn somehow turning for home in front.

Race favourite Gas Lantern poured the pressure on right to the wire but Linden withstood the pressure and saluted at the juicy odds of $9.20 and the quick time of 23:27sec.

George was on the road and took them on at Bendigo saluting with Air Speed.

Beginning on terms, Air Speed mustered up to take the early lead and from here was able to scoot away to a four-length victory in the smart time of 23:81sec.

It should be noted that the club is shutting down for eight weeks starting on January 5 for pre-planned track works that will keep the track at the cutting edge of safety and track design for our greyhounds.

This will mean the Horsham Cup will be moved from the long weekend in March to later in the year in June.
