This time, table tennis is on the menu.

Rhonda Allan of Mallee Sports Assembly also contacted Donald High School, whose students are again assisting the participants – mainly from McCallum Day Services-St Arnaud and Woodbine-Warracknabeal – with the skill of playing table tennis.

On the first day in the series, teacher Anthony Tatchell accompanied his students, Hunter Wingfield, Judd Geddes, Asha Roberts, Ben Krause, Ethan Clapham, Charlotte Bickett and Lita Riley-Read.

Allan thanked them all for their great enthusiasm and involvement.

Allan also thanked everyone for their support and said she hoped they looked forward to the upcoming sessions.

Thirty-two people attended on the first day, which included a variety of skill levels.

It doesn’t matter how good players are; it’s all about being active.

This is an initiative of the Access for All Abilities program funded by Sport & Recreation Victoria.

Allan said she wanted to reiterate her thanks to the staff of both day services for encouraging their participants to increase their levels of physical activity participation.

She said this was good not only for health and physical condition but also for social interaction and improved well-being.
