Container Deposit Scream
VOLUNTEERS at the Dimboola Lions depot on Hindmarsh Street have unfortunately recently found themselves at the receiving end of abuse from some of those coming in to use the container deposit machines.
The Container Deposit Scheme in Dimboola notched up a million units in July last year and continues to raise valuable funds for the town through community grants and the Dimboola Dollars programs. But angry yelling recently directed at volunteers from those having trouble with operating the machines has been condemned by the Lions Club, making it clear abuse “will not be tolerated by anyone”.
