The fairways were mowed to perfection, the scrapes magnificent, the course was looking great and at the end of the day some very relieved players.

In the men's A grade, Michael Millar was victorious for his second year in a row and Glen Treverton was a close second.

Ladies division one saw Debbie Lowe become victorious with Beth Preston as runner up.

For ladies division two, Ann Morton placed first and Fiona Williams came in second.

The men's B grade was a tie which will see Paul Holmes and Tony Foley play-off next week.

For the day's event, Debbie Lowe came first with a gross 90 and net 72 while Ann Morton came second with 114 gross and net 81.

Dennis Kavanagh took out the win gross 98 and net 66 on a count back from Liam Buzz Preston with gross 73 and net 66.

The only nearest to the pin was Michael Millar on the fifth.

Congratulations to all and next week is Stableford.

See you then.

Good golfing.
